I can’t say enough good things about my experience working with Emma on my website redesign! She brought my vision to life but the final product was even better than I could have imagined. When I was looking to redesign my website I was apprehensive to trust a developer that didn’t have knowledge of how to market to PHOTOGRAPHY clients. When I found Emma’s services I could have jumped out of my chair. She not only designs beautiful sites but knows what our target audience is looking for when they come across your page. She’s concise on her communication, beat our final deadline & even gave me a little bonus help with branding! Highly recommend to creatives looking to update their websites!

An Interview with SARA:

Where and/or how did your passion for what you do begin?: I've always been drawn to art & creating. I used to draw a lot when I was younger and eventually picked up a camera and learned to create beautiful things using the camera as the medium.

What is the BEST lesson you've learned since starting your own business?: To learn to say no.

It's never been an easy thing for me but I've definitely learned the value of setting boundaries and doing what you feel is best for both your clients and your business.

What do you wish someone would have told you when starting out?: Keep doing you! It's hard to lose yourself sometimes but listen to your inner voice - you'll always know what's best for you and your business.

When did you realize it was time for a rebrand and/or new website?: I didn't feel as though my branding reflected my style or vision. I had seen Emma's work and knew she was the perfect choice to bring what I wanted to life and to help me attract clients who loved my style.

What would you say to someone who is on the fence about hiring a designer to help them with their website?: Do it !! It's absolutely worth the investment. Our clients hire us because we are professionals at what we do. Business owners should also hire a professional designer because they're the best for the job.

What is your absolute favorite thing about your final website design?: The entire look! The fact it was clean and simple and yet elegant.

When dreaming of her new website, Sara envisioned three things: It would be clean, it would be organized, and it would be oh-so-pretty! She wanted a simple, uncomplicated space for visitors to come and be captivated by her delicate imagery.

Project keywords:  soft, simple, organic, light, film-inspired

A note from the designer

Emma Rose Company is a Squarespace website designer and photographer who primarily works with photographers to help them reach their business goals through thoughtful design..png

I am a self-made, self-taught photographer, web designer and educator who’s learned most of the lessons I teach the absolute hardest way. I fell in love with photography (and, really my own creativity) after my own wedding when I borrowed my father’s camera just to play around with it — turns out when you do something you love, you want to do it all.the.time.

I learned along the way what burnout looks and feels like and made it my mission to help other creative entrepreneurs avoid it all together. Instead of quitting on my dreams, I decided to turn my life around and all of that started with me. I started running and working out, lost 50+ pounds on a health and wellness journey and finally found my happiness along the way.

Using the same accountability I did in my personal journey, I began to put systems in place (and a team of people who support me) to finally run a business I love and show up well for my family, friends and clients.

Now, in all facets of my business I get to help lead others to do the same.
