Sometimes you meet someone who you can just tell is good. I felt this when I met Olivia for the first time a few weeks ago in Seattle at the Arboretum! The colors there were absolutely incredible and made for an even more amazing session than I initially envisioned. Olivia is quiet, gentle, and was beyond fun to work with for her senior portrait session! I don't know what the deal was on our scheduled session day but the traffic at the Seattle Arboretum was insane. I tried parking for 45 minutes before I finally called Olivia's Mom to change locations. She opted to have me park outside of the park and drop me off so that we didn't have to change places and thank goodness that worked out! Living in our small town and mainly shooting out on our private property, I don't have to worry about traffic. Heck, I even get annoyed when the front row spots are taken at the local grocery store and I have to park in the side lot. #smalltownproblems. So when I go venture up to Seattle and battle parking it makes for a little added stress. I hope that as I get more familiar with shooting up there that it isn't so hectic in the future. This specific weekend there was some sort of event going on so that explained the inability to find a parking spot anywhere!
Olivia was radiant and beyond fun to photograph!
As my photography journey continues to take me in new directions, I've absolutely fallen in love with senior photography. The girls I've worked with this year have been beyond incredible (even the guys!) and I'm humbled to be part of such an important chapter in their lives. I still look at my senior pictures and smile, remembering how young and carefree I was at that time. At 17 I didn't realize what was ahead of me, but the world was my oyster and I was excited to get out there and find myself. So when I'm working with my clients capturing this special time, my heart wants to burst at the seams because I know that they will look back on these and say someday, "Ah, I was so young!" It still doesn't feel quite right that I'm almost 30. It feels like yesterday I was getting ready to start my own life adventure as a graduating senior in high school. If you are graduating and looking for a photographer I would love to chat with you more! You can contact me right here. So here is beautiful Olivia! I'm proud of these images and hope you all love them as much as I do!
