I had the pleasure of meeting Shannon this past winter in Wenatchee at the NCW Bridal Premier! The first thing I noticed about Shannon was her bubbly personality and smile! I made a list at this wedding show of the names of brides I met who I really had a connection with and Shannon was on that list! We hit it off right away and I crossed my fingers she would get in touch with me once she talked everything over with Anthony!
I'll never forget my first phone call with Sarah to discuss the possibility of me being her and Andy's wedding photographer. Andy wasn't there for the phone call, but Sarah's sister was! We had a wonderful conversation and I just had a feeling after our phone call that they would move forward with booking me! I heard from Sarah shortly after our call ready to move forward and make it official!
This winter has been one of the wettest in the history of South Bend, Washington! The rain this year has been wild. I ran a Mommy and Me series but the rain put a serious hindering on scheduling them! I ended up taking it off my Facebook page because it was impossible to work around the rain! However, recently the Miskell family reached out to me to see if I was still having any so I said, "yes!" I looked at the weather and it actually looked like we were about to get a break from the rain. It was perfect.
The sun was shining for this adorable Mommy and Me session in Bay Center!
I had never done Mommy and Me sessions before but I think I'm hooked! I found a cute little spot right in Bay Center that was just perfect overlooking the bay and showed a little character of our area... oyster shells! I look forward to doing more of these sessions in the future. We were only together for twenty minutes but I knew instantly before I even took my camera out that this session would be a lot of fun and so cute! Amber and her girls were just precious. The girls were at the perfect age for a photo shoot and took my directions beautifully, I was so impressed!
Thanks for spending a portion of your evening, Miskell ladies! Next time we will have to have Dad join us! :)
Just a few weeks ago, my friend Taylor who is part of Bixby + Pine reached out to me to see if I wanted to be involved in a mini styled shoot up in Seattle. Of course I said yes! She had told me about this gorgeous studio and from what I'd seen online, I wanted to get in on that action for sure! So we planned the day and when I say plan, Taylor planned everything.
So basically I'm in love with absolutely everything about this photo session. I honestly can't even really begin to describe not only how much I connected to these two, but how incredible and fun they were to photograph! I had to ask them so many times if they've ever done this before because they were simply flawless in front of my camera.
This past summer I had the honor of second shooting with my friend Nicole Conner with Nicole Conner Photography. When she asked me for this opportunity of course I said YES! Kaysee and Patrick's intimate backyard blush wedding was one for the books. It was small, romantic, and as beautiful as it looks.
There has been this back and forth with myself on whether or not I will use my blog as a place to share personal pictures. I share personal "stuff" over on my business blog, but I haven't ever posted my own personal work with my photography. And let's be honest, it's almost always pictures of my little girl, Riley. She turned two in February and is quite honestly the only reason I picked up a camera in the first place.
