This past summer I had the honor of second shooting with my friend Nicole Conner with Nicole Conner Photography. When she asked me for this opportunity of course I said YES! Kaysee and Patrick's intimate backyard blush wedding was one for the books. It was small, romantic, and as beautiful as it looks.
There has been this back and forth with myself on whether or not I will use my blog as a place to share personal pictures. I share personal "stuff" over on my business blog, but I haven't ever posted my own personal work with my photography. And let's be honest, it's almost always pictures of my little girl, Riley. She turned two in February and is quite honestly the only reason I picked up a camera in the first place.
Taking senior portraits on our cattle ranch in South Bend, Washington is my absolute favorite! It's a time for my girls to dress up, feel pampered and experience something so unique that they will remember it for the rest of their lives. Senior year is an exciting time and it's important to document this little window of time before the reality of the real world truly sets in!
When Sheena reached out to me for family photos (last year, I know I'm behind on blogging!) I was so excited! I don't typically do newborn sessions but this was more of a lifestyle approach outside so I was on board and eager to get up to the beautiful little town of Cashmere, Washington. My Dad grew up in Cashmere and fun fact about me - I actually spent my senior year of high school in Cashmere. More on that maybe someday!
I'm excited to share this post with you today from a recent session I shot out at Joshua Tree in sunny California! It's lengthy because you are going to get an inside view into the story of one military family and what it's like to live that lifestyle directly from a woman married to a marine tank commander. Also stay tuned at the bottom of the post for an exciting announcement!
I'm here on the blog with something truly special for you all today. A few weeks ago my brother called me and told me that he was going to be proposing to his girlfriend of four years, Natalie. Of course I was over the moon excited but then he asked me if I would join them for the proposal to document everything. Ummm....yes, please!
In early 2017 I had a vision for a bridal styled shoot in Seabrook, Washington. I had this vision after meeting a new photographer friend out there to hang out and swap some pictures. The "town" is more of a community that I like to explain as a scene straight out of the movie Pleasantville. It's so cute you can't even really believe it exists. And here I am, living only an hour away from it!
